Water Color Paintings & A Little Stained Glass

My Grandpa can do everything

I'm not kidding.

He can paint, draw, sculpt, weld, you name it.  He is also skilled at carpentry and gardening, served as a Marine and was a firefighter.  (Did I mention he can act as a gunsmith and also keeps several exotic birds? Mmmhmm, that too)

The house he lives in?  He built that.
The paintings on the walls?  He painted those.
The stained glass in the kitchen?  Yeah, he made that too.

Want to see what I'm talking about?  Keep scrolling ;)

(If you want to see photos from his property, click here)

Stained Glass Roses

This stained glass insert can be found in the corner cabinet of my Grandparent's kitchen.

I have been looking at this cabinet for decades (because every time I want a drink I go here, but really the cups are above the microwave...eventually I'll remember...haha!)  Anyway, of all times I have opened this cabinet, never before had I noticed that the insert was stained glass.  I asked my Grandma about it and of course my Grandpa made it himself :D

That's a whole lot of talent wrapped up in one person!
I hope you enjoyed the artistry here as much as I do, thanks for stopping by!

Winter Photography (2015)

March came in like a lion this year, with lots and lots of snow.  In honor of this last winter storm, I'm sharing some of my Aunt's personal winter photographs.

Did you hear me Mother Nature?  I said last...:D :D :D

My Aunt has a real talent for capturing nature's beauty, check it out:

Early Morning

This one is my favorite.  If you look to the lower left, you can see the sun coming up.  I also like the way you can almost feel the stillness and cold of the morning.

Great work Auntie!

I hope you enjoyed these beautiful photos as much as I did, thanks for stopping by!
