Welcome to
our home! Here are a few photos of our Easter decorations this year.
The wreath
was a simple project I constructed using a bit of basket filler and plastic
eggs. After hot-gluing the filler onto a wreath form, I used green pipe
cleaners to wire on the egg clusters. Super easy! I found
the milk glass pedestal bowl at a yard sale last year for only $2.50!
Isn't it lovely on the dining table with a handful of pastel eggs? A few
fabric daffodils in a glass vase and my daughters outgrown rain boots on the
window ledge complete the cheerful atmosphere.
I love to
collect little symbols of the holiday, in this case glitter eggs and miniature
carrots. I find that by containing several small items together in glass
jars the overall display is cleaner and less cluttered. It also makes for
easier packing as I just wrap up and put the filled jars into my storage
boxes. All of my glass jars are recycled from candles that I have burned
through. This has become such a habit of mine that I actually consider
jar type to be as important a factor in candle selection as scent and
price! :D
The little
picket fence I picked up for .50 a couple of years ago. I thought it
would be adorable with a few eggs nestled into some basket filler on my kitchen
counter......don't look too close, Husby may or may not have spilled a few
coffee grinds in there as well! ;)
I am
obsessed with glassware, and have it all over the kitchen and dining
room. I like to change the contents with the seasons, so more eggs of
course!
Can you
tell that I love, love, love colorful eggs?! Haha! I have so many
that they can easily begin to look overwhelming. I color block them so
things stay a bit more organized. These are some of my glass dessert
pieces that I keep on display in the dining room, they were begging to be
filled up too ;)
That was
our decor for the Easter holiday, thanks for coming by!
